SSI Director’s High-Level Working Visit to Abuja, Advances Partnerships with National, International Stakeholders
Abuja, Nigeria —
The Director of the Solution Social Initiative (SSI), Prophet Efe Cyril Edah, recently concluded a high-level working visit to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, engaging with critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s humanitarian and development landscape. The visit, aimed at deepening strategic partnerships and advancing SSI’s compliance with national regulatory frameworks, marked a significant step in the Initiative’s growing national and international profile.
During the visit, Prophet Edah engaged in a formal correspondence with representatives of UKAID and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). As well as with the Honourable Minister of Health on SSI’s ongoing health-focused programs, which tackle mortality reduction, menstrual hygiene management, and grassroots sensitization campaigns.
He also engaged with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing SSI’s alignment with the SDGs through initiatives in education, women empowerment, youth development, and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), exploring avenues to align SSI’s grassroots interventions with global best practices in poverty reduction, human rights, health, and sustainable development.
SSI’s working visit further included a partnership request with the ECOWAS Department of Human Development and Social Affairs, where regional partnership opportunities were highlighted over its ongoing GROW-HER Project.
These engagements underscored SSI’s readiness to serve as an effective local implementing partner for international development agencies, leveraging its robust network of state coordinators across Nigeria.
In addition to these formal correspondences, Prophet Edah held physical strategic meetings with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs Headquarters. These sessions were particularly significant, as they addressed SSI’s compliance procedures and opened pathways for collaborative projects targeting women, children, refugees, and internally displaced persons in Nigeria.
Observers noted that the Abuja visit reflects SSI’s dual approach of engaging both through formal institutional channels and direct dialogue, thereby ensuring its programs align with government priorities and international development standards.
SSI’s Director, Prophet Edah, emphasized that the Initiative’s mission remains anchored in restoring dignity and empowering underserved communities, while strengthening Nigeria’s position within the global humanitarian and development framework.
